Jay Wiseman Returns to “In The Spotlight”

This marks Wiseman’s 2nd appearance on “In The Spotlight.” He was one of the first guests before the live shows could be archived.

Modern BDSM history is incomplete without acknowledging Wiseman’s contributions and leadership regarding safety and practices in kink. Over fifteen years before “50 Shades of Grey” appeared, Wiseman self published and distributed “SM 101,” one of the first definitive educational books on BDSM. He would soon partner with Lady Green of Greenery Press, helping establish the publishing company as an authority on kinky practices and fetishes.

“Jay Wiseman’s Erotic Bondage Handbook,” “Tricks – More than 125 Ways to Make Good Sex Better,” and “Dungeon Emergencies and Supplies” are just a few of the highly respected titles he has penned over his carrer.

Wiseman was already a legend in the San Francisco Leather community as a BDSM instructor with EMT field experience, when he decided to expand his credibility by studying law and passing the California State Bar exam. This knowledge earned Wiseman additional authority when it comes to teaching others to avoid physical harm and legal folly with kinky practices in the bedroom.

UPDATE: It is with great pride to announce that this week’s “In the Spotlight” guest Ernest Greene was just inducted into the 2021 AVN Hall of Fame. Greene tweeted that he will have a surprise informal poll of listeners to the live episode.

To be candid, while the real credit goes to Greene’s hard work and long career, when he told me he was not in the Hall of Fame, I nudged my Alma Mater in an e-mail. This was late in the game and I was not expecting anything until 2022. This would be at least the second time I nudged someone in, the first being Skye Blue when she was a publicity client. I’d swear there was a third I’ve recommended and gonna need to start writing these down. Congratulations Ernest. You’ve earned it!

His video productions have earned him eight AVN awards and his work includes “Jenna Loves Pain” with Jenna Jameson, over 30 educational titles with Nina Hartley, and his “O” trilogy for Adam and Eve. Algos and Ezra are a married couple from the House of Algos, a BDSM educational collective. Queen Ana Algos is a highly educated activist and professional Dominatrix.
